This could quite possibly the best drama of the new millennium. It achieves what very few zombie-related stories are able to do: realism. Characters who are at once resilient and brittle, consistent and surprising, good and evil. Zombies that are at once mindless in their hunger for human flesh and saturated with the people they used to be. And acting that is at once heartfelt and genuine. The Walking Dead stays true to the human condition, and weaves it seamlessly into the reality such an apocalyptic scenario begs.
This is particularly detrimental to your coolness score if you’re not currently obsessed with this show. I’d recommend hopping on this bandwagon lest you become that guy or girl picked last in gym class…I mean, life.
